L. William Seidman Center

Thank You for Bringing
Bill Seidman’s Vision to Life

Grand Valley State University is grateful for your support as we announce the conclusion of the campaign for the construction of the L. William Seidman Center. More than 500 donors like you gave $25 million in private gifts toward the $40 million project, meeting the campaign goal. Thank you for honoring Bill’s legacy and his vision for the Seidman College of Business. We couldn’t have done it without you.

This opportunity was created by the commitment of a leadership gift by Richard and Helen DeVos memorializing
L. William Seidman as a leader in the West Michigan business community. The Shares in a Common Future campaign is co-chaired by Douglas L. DeVos and David G. Frey. Click here to see the campaign leadership.

Attracting, Preparing, & Retaining the Best and Brightest

Attracting

Over 3,300 business students will be served by the Seidman Center. The building will enable unique programs like the new Full-time Integrated MBA (FIMBA) and a SAP® Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) certification which will draw students to the university and the region

Preparing

Over 200 employers help shape the Seidman College of Business curriculum and provide internship experience prior to graduation. The Seidman Center will enhance this real-world orientation for business students with learning tools like a state-of-the-art trading room and real-time technology that provides access to sophisticated business resources.

Retaining

Once they come to West Michigan, Seidman graduates are likely to stay. Eighty-eight percent of Seidman College graduates find jobs or pursue a graduate degree upon graduation. The Seidman Center will also help the region’s businesses by centrally housing all of the college’s many outreach centers and providing a front door to the business community for better access to the university’s resources.
