Cellist Pablo Mahave-Veglia, guitarist Carlos de la Barrera, and pianist Helen Marlais present a program of music by composers from Argentina. Scheduled to coincide with the "Arte Argentino" show that the GVSU Art Gallery features from October 6 to November 4, their program will explore the different influences and genres that mix in Argentinean culture. The heritage of Spanish folk traditions, their own mythic urban folklore of the Tango, and the avant-garde of the western concert music is explemplified through the music of such masters as Manuel de la Falla, Carlos Gardel, Alberto Ginastera, and Astor Piazzolla.
